Top 5 Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Him 2014

Hi friends! This was very challenging as I always find it difficult to shop for men. I had to look around online for gifts that men would find useful or just enjoyable. This is going to be shorter than my Top 10 Stocking Stuffers For Her, for now anyway. I don't know why, but men are so much harder to shop for! (Coming from a woman LOL!) So I thought it'd be a great idea to take the time to find some little things to stuff in his stocking, in case any of you reading this need help as well! I may come back and add some more things on here soon!

Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer $19.95 - This is very affordable, with 10 built-in length settings with an exclusive locking feature. Skin-friendly trimmer with rounded tips and comb prevent skin irritation.

Neff Beanies from $16 - This is something I didn't even have to give much thought about, my husband wears beanies almost religiously. Especially since we live in such a cold area. I think most guys like beanies, or at least have beanies for the winter. Neff is decent quality for a pretty affordable price.

Star Wars Gingerbread Cookie Cutters $9.99 - I found these and just had to put them on this list. Because who doesn't like star wars? And who doesn't like cookies? There is a very slim chance that whosever stocking you're stuffing doesn't like cookies, and if this is going to be for a significant other, they'd just love it if you used these to bake cookies for them. :) (By the way, the cookies don't have to be gingerbread!)

Gift Card Puzzle Vault $4.99 - Okay, this is just awesome. If you are giving a gift card, you can put it in this little puzzle and the puzzle has to be solved before receiving the gift card. Such a neat idea, and so much fun!

Boss Hog's Bacon Buttercrunch Toffee $9.95 - I've never hopped on the bacon addiction bandwagon, but it seems like most everybody else has. There's probably a pretty good chance that whoever you're browsing gifts for, they like bacon anything and everything. This seems like a pretty interesting and rare treat that most might enjoy trying.

Top 10 Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Her 2014

It's almost Christmastime and we are all stuffing those stockings for our loved ones. It's so much fun to pack them with little gifts and even more fun for the receiver to find the treasures! The ideal stocking stuffers people tend to gravitate toward are affordable, little things that people will love. I have some ideas for you that are sure to make any woman happy! I also have a Stocking Stuffers For Him post if you'd like to check that out as well. (Click on images to enlarge.)

(For mom, grandma, sister, daughter, niece, girlfriend, wife, and so on.)

Julep Holidays On Ice $29.99 ($90 value) - This is such a gorgeous nail lacquer set! Perfect for any nail junkie out there. You really can't go wrong with this one if there's a woman in your life who love polish. These colors are absolutely gorgeous, and Julep is such an amazing brand, and my personal favorite. High quality polishes with a great formula and no carcinogens! My favorite polish by Julep is "Cameron", and it is included in this set! It's a silver lilac stardust (matte glitter). All of the colors are gorgeous, and great for the holidays. There are also many other value sets on Julep's site, be sure to check them out to find the perfect stocking stuffer for your nail polish junkie!

White Sands Orchids Oil $25 (100 ml) - Orchid oil extract that restores moisture, shine, elasticity, and softness to damaged hair. This is great for hair that has been damaged from chemical treatments and thermal stress. This oil is very light, unlike many other hair oils, and does not affect the hair's ability to perform when styling. I actually own this, and I LOVE it. It smells amazing, if you like floral scents, you will love this. It is by no means overpowering, either. Fun fact: Orchids Hair Oil is a favorite on the set of Pretty Little Liars! (My favorite television series!)

Godiva Holiday Wrapped Assorted Truffles $7 (15 pieces) - Who doesn't like chocolate? Especially Godiva? Almost no one. This is an assortment of rich milk, white, and dark chocolate truffles. This assortment include 5 pieces of each flavor. There are tons of other stocking stuffer choices on their site, go check them out for her favorite flavor!

Garden Apothecary Balsam + Lavender + Lotus Bath Tea $12 (3.4 oz) - A scented bath salt; a blend of balsam, lavender, and lotus bath tea that comes in a recycled glass apothecary jar, with a glass top. There are other scents of bath tea as well, they are all so pretty, too! All natural and organic ingredients, they have a large variety of different products on their site, check them out! These would make perfect stocking stuffers for any lady.

Piper's Perfumery "Naughty & Nice" $4.98 (8.3 fl oz) - This fragrance is fruity and floral at the same time. Top notes of sweet mandarin and cyclamen lead into mid tones of sensual jasmine, white cedar, and sugared amber crystals, ending with dry notes of creamy sandalwood, warm vanilla bean, and musk. Not tested on animals, that's a HUGE plus!

Colour Pop Cosmetics Lippie To Go $20 (5x .014 oz) - This value set comes with five 2-in-1 Lippie Stix and Pencils that are the perfect travel size. Take these anywhere and everywhere you go. This will make a great stocking stuffer for any makeup fanatic, and especially lipstick lovers! These are highly pigmented for a great value. And a super big plus is they're cruelty free! They also sell the Lippie Stix and Pencils individually. They have natural colors, crazy colors, bold colors, IN YOUR FACE colors, everything! If a woman in your life loves lipstick, you will definitely find a shade for her here!

Elemental Herbs All Good Coconut Oil Skin Food $14.99 (9 oz glass jar) - This deep conditioner is made from food-grade organic coconut oil enhanced with fragrant essential oils! It performs as a massage oil, scalp treatment, after-shower body rub, and much more. This gives instant deep moisture without being greasy, and is offered in it's pure state and in lavender and lemongrass varieties. Certified organic, GMO free, gluten free, vegan, non-nano, and biodegradable. They have many other amazing products on their site that will also make great stocking stuffers, be sure to take a look at them all!

Pacific Shaving Company Women's 3-Step Shaving System $24.99 - Exfoliating scrub, shaving cream, and post-shave moisturizer are all made with a unique formula of natural and safe ingredients designed to leave women's skin smooth and hydrated all day long. Organic lavender and orange essential oils provide a soothing, natural scent that is never overpowering. Most women in our generation shave, and in many more areas than men. We all love natural and organic products, so this beats any of the chemical filled shaving products you can get from any drugstore. They have men's products, too, of course. I shall include that in my "Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Him" blog when I write it!

Lush Cosmetics Christmas Hedgehog Bubble Bar $7.25 (3.5 oz) - This floral bubbler is made with softening shea and cocoa butters and a blend of relaxing floral essential oils. Crumble under running water and enjoy a nice, hot, silky bath scented with soothing lavender, rose, and ylang ylang oils.

Yankee Candle Tea Light Candles "Candy Cane Lane" $9.99 (12 candles) - Candles are relaxing and peaceful. This new scent by Yankee Candle will make the holidays that much better with tingly peppermint, sweet cookies, and creamy vanilla icing. If this is a scent you don't think she'll be too fond of, there are MANY others to choose from. The tea lights are a great stocking stuffer because they are small and light in weight, and they'll give her the chance to decide whether or not she likes the scent!

*BONUS* Scentbird Purse Spray Designer Perfume $12.99 - Scentbird is a monthly subscription where you get a 30 day supply of designer perfume every month for only $14.95 a month. However, for just a couple days longer (Dec. 8 & Dec. 9), they are offering a stocking stuffer deal. No monthly membership, just $12.99 for a purse sized designer perfume! It comes in a little vial (.27 oz, more than just a sample) and the vial is in Scentbird's signature, portable case. You twist it to open and close, just like a lipstick. They're so cute! And the perfume lasts much longer if you don't use it every single day! Perfect stocking stuffer! A must have in my opinion.

That wraps it up for my Top 10 Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Her. I hope this was a bit helpful. I will soon be working on ideas for "him" and "toddlers" as well and those should be up soon. Thanks so much for stopping by and stay tuned!

Holiday Gift Guide For Her 2014 (+ Black Friday Deals)

It's holiday season again! Christmas shopping can be very difficult sometimes because either people are hard to shop for, or you simply just can't think of what to get them. So I've decided to put together my VERY FIRST holiday gift guide to help give you guys some ideas for your holiday shopping this year! Any woman, whether she be your mom, daughter, sister, girlfriend, wife, etc., will be sure to love ANY of these gifts! This is especially great for anyone who likes to do all of their holiday shopping online. (Keep in mind that Black Friday is over, and all sales mentioned are now ended.)

Here are some products I've put together that will make excellent Christmas gifts:

- Garden Apothecary -

Garden Apothecary is an all natural and organic bath and body company located in California. Their products include ingredients that are certified organic and are perfect for anyone who loves natural, herbal remedies. The founder of Garden Apothecary, Jenn, is a professional botanist who either grows the plants herself or grown by small farms she has personally examined.

There are so many different products to choose from, there are a variety of bath teas, perfumes, massage oils, sugar scrubs, and more! I honestly feel like any and EVERY woman would love these products, even men to be honest! I'm all for natural products, especially ones that soothe the body AND mind. I recommend any of Garden Apothecary's products as Christmas gifts AND stocking stuffers, they would be perfect for either! Take a look around their site to see the amazing products they have, you won't regret it, I sure am glad to have discovered them!

- Angela & Roi Handbags -

This brand really stood out to me because I really love a company that gives back. With each purchase, $5 is donated to support cancer and disease fighters. There is a wide range of colors to choose from, and each color supports a different disease. If you're into shopping while giving back as well, this is for you! Also, December is AIDS Awareness Month, so the red bags will be the perfect gift if you're looking for a gift to give before Christmas! (Because we all have that one person in the family who likes to give at least one gift early. *Ahem* MOM! ;))

Angela & Roi handbags are reasonably priced, starting at $50. These chic and sophisticated carriers each feature a colored ribbon to increase awareness about the particular cause. The styles are very classic and simple, and they are all made of high quality vegan leather. This is definitely a gift item worth taking a look at. Visit to view their wide range of different styles and colors!

- Sigmax Essential Kit 10 Brushes -

To be a little more specific, I personally think this would be a GREAT gift. If you know someone who collects makeup brushes (makeup artists, enthusiast, etc.), then the Sigmax Collection by Sigma won't disappoint! The brushes are designed to give you a flawless makeup application. The synthetic fibers allow you to apply powder, cream, and liquid products without absorbing into the bristles.

As an owner of this particular set, I have to say I absolutely adore it! The bristles are so soft and gentle, they don't feel scratchy when applying product to your skin, and they don't shed! Always a huge selling point when I am looking for brushes. Sigma is having a Cyber Monday SALE on December 1st and EVERYTHING on their site is going to be 20% off. If you don't want to wait, Sigma is offering free shipping worldwide from the 27th to the 28th! This is the perfect opportunity to buy this amazing brush set! Be sure to check out the Sigmax Essential Kit on December 1st for a great savings! If you're still not sure about this set, check out the reviews on YouTube, there are many, and you'll find that no one is disappointed with this set.

- Earthy Chic Boutique -

Earthy Chic is a jewelry company with unique, handcrafted jewelry. What sets this jewelry company apart from others is the fact that they donate a portion of your purchase to a great cause. They have a list of featured charities that they give back to! A great way to actually feel good about the beautiful jewelry you are buying!

The line has numerous styles and collections (there is something for everyone!). Earthy Chic jewelry is sterling and 14kt gold with diamonds at an affordable price, so you can't go wrong! This company is a great choice for those who love the boho, spiritual kind of jewelry. You can also contact the company if you're looking for a specific piece of jewelry and they will be more than happy to help you! Go to their website and take a look at all of their products.

- Jaboneria Marianella -

Jaboneria Marianella is a luxury bath and body line founded by mother/son team David Foote and Marianella Febres-Cordero. They have a variety of rejuvenating and antioxidant bath and body bars, handcrafted using Venezuelan soap-making techniques and the highest quality natural ingredients. The packaging is also very stylish and was designed by Foote himself.

They've recently introduced new shower gels and lotions to their line. The Rejuvenating Bath & Shower Gel contains a combination of powerful vitamins, oils, and antioxidants to moisturize, soften, and revitalize the skin. The formula is made with argan oil, babassu oil, safflower oil, coconut oil, olive oil, Shea butter, borage seed oil, and rice bran oil. The Antioxidant Body Milk Cream is made with milk thistle extract, Argan Oil, Avocado Oil, Borage Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Sunflower Seed Oil and Rosemary Extract. This formula helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as hydrates and replenishes the skin. There are also some gift sets for him and her for this holiday season!

- Sedona Lace -

If you're looking for quality beauty products at an amazingly affordable price, Sedona Lace is just that. They sell everything from eyeshadow palettes to makeup brushes. They have amazing blush palettes as well! The beauty products are very pigmented, and a little bit really goes a long way. Sedona Lace brushes have synthetic and vegan bristles, making them perfect for applying powder, cream, or liquid products.

I would say Sedona Lace is very similar to Sigma, but their cosmetics are much more affordable. As an owner of a couple sets of Sedona Lace brushes, I have to say that they are wonderful. They don't shed a bristle, and they feel lovely and soft on the skin. Be sure to check out the Black Friday sale they are having right now, everything is 50% off (ends November 28th at 11:59 pm EST)!

- Kate Spade -

Handbags, shoes, clothes, jewelry, EVERYTHING is 25% off! Kate Spade is every girl's best friend. Many different styles of everything to choose from. The handbags are definitely a must. Take a gander at the sale section to get an even bigger savings! Kate Spade is currently having a surprise sale just for today (November 29th) up to 75% off!

- Julep -

Julep not only sells amazing nail lacquer, their line includes cosmetics and skin care as well! They have lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, all of it. They are having an amazing Black Friday Sale right now, as well as a $1 polish with the code "ONE".

Julep polishes are very high quality and have an amazing formula. A great gift for any nail polish lover is the Freedom Polymer Top Coat, it is a quick-dry formula that cures smudge-free, with NO UV light needed! It gives a high gloss finish and your polish won't smudge AT ALL. If you love the look of gel manicures but hate the hassle of removal, this is a great alternative. It gives that gel like finish without it actually being a gel, which I think every nail art fanatic loves!

- Grace and Lace -

As seen on Shark Tank, Grace and Lace has a great selection of knit scarves, cardigans, boot socks, clothing, and much more. They have a section for kids and baby as well, and the items are SO cute! The story behind Grace and Lace is truly beautiful and heart touching. This is one company I personally and completely adore and will continue to support. Their products are high quality and super warm and cozy, perfect for this cold season. Everything on the site is 20% off right now for the holidays!

- Sephora - Ulta -
Check out Sephora and Ulta for some good Black Friday deals. Sephora is featuring several value sets in their $10 Beauty Deals section, online and in stores. Ulta also has some awesome value sets right now, like the Tarte 5 pc Amazonian Butter Lipstick Set, which is online only. This set is an $80 value for only $33! The lipsticks are fabulous as well.  You can also buy a $40 or more fragrance and get a free 3 piece serving tray set ($50 value). This would be the perfect placement piece for your perfumes! It would be a nice space for your fragrances and give it an elegant feel. Hurry while supplies last!

This is all I have for you guys so far! I hope this was a little helpful. I chose some products that any girl will be sure to love, things that I, myself, enjoy very much. I will be updating this periodically up until about the last week of Christmas! If you guys have any awesome ideas, please leave them down in the comments! It would be much appreciated! Also feel free to leave any questions you might have, I will definitely get back to you. :) Happy Holidays!

RECIPE: Flourless Vegan Pumpkin Pecan Bread

Today I had an interesting thought: why not share health tips (and recipes) on my blog as well as beauty tips? Since inner health does affect outer beauty after all! Eating healthy is crucial for so many different reasons (especially if your skin tends to break out). Excess sugar and fats are obviously known for promoting fat storage, but they also promote early signs of aging.

We all love sweets, though. I feel like I always have a sweet tooth! (Who's with me?) So when I want to indulge in something sugary, I try my best to go for healthy desserts. YES, there is such a thing. ;)

My sister found this recipe for healthy, flourless pumpkin muffins and I wanted to share it with you all as well. And don't worry, if you're vegan, I've altered the recipe for you! This is such an easy and DELICIOUS treat to make, especially this season. Who doesn't love pumpkin everything during Autumn?

I've made this recipe quite a few times and I love it! I personally prefer the vegan version over the original. I also ended up using a loaf pan because I didn't have a muffin pan, if you are going to bake a pumpkin loaf, you will need to bake for about 40-45 minutes, checking on it occasionally by poking the middle with a fork/toothpick, making sure it comes out clean. Photo to the right is the original non-vegan recipe.
This time, I've decided to add some chopped pecans to my vegan pumpkin loaf, it turned out amazing. The bread is also moist, which I LOVE! I honestly prefer the bread after it's been in a tupperware in the fridge over night, it seems to be more moist and less crumbly. But it is good fresh out of the oven, too!
This is a photo of my flourless vegan pumpkin bread with pecans, a day after being in the fridge

I hope you guys enjoy! If you try it, let me know what you think with a comment below! Especially if you've tried the vegan version. :)

REMEMBER: ONLY cook for 15 mins if you are baking muffins, about 45 mins for a loaf.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit. Use non-stick pan and grease it with coconut oil, bake for 15 minutes.

  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 egg (if vegan, replace with 1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • mini chocolate chips or nuts of choice (optional)

Disclaimer: I did not come up with the original recipe and do not know who did.

Nail Polish Obsessed

Hi gorgeous people! I have been obsessing over painting my nails lately, A LOT. I have grown a pretty decently sized nail polish collection over the last couple years. I didn't have much time for awhile to pain my nails when Rylee was a newborn. But now that she's a toddler, I have tons of free time at night to do whatever I want!

I want to share with you one of the best nail polish brands I've ever used. Along with China Glaze and OPI, one of my new ABSOLUTE favorites is Julep! They have the prettiest colors, and from what I've noticed, a lot of their polish formulas are amazing. They are super easy to apply, and the brushes aren't huge like a lot of other brand polishes, so it's very easy to control the product without getting it all over your fingers! (click photo to enlarge)

I have seen some of their polishes in Sephora a few times, but I'm not sure where else they are sold besides their website. I highly recommend this brand to anyone who loves nail polish, or anyone who is just getting into nail polish, because it is very high quality, as well as very easy to work with.

On their site, you can become a Julep Maven member, which is a subscription of $20 a month and you will receive a box each month filled with products (polish and other beauty products) valuing up to $40. It is such an awesome deal. Especially if you constantly give yourself (or anyone else) manis and pedis. When signing up, you can take a "style quiz", where it just asks questions about your style and things you like. This will give them a better idea of what to send you! If you don't like the polishes coordinated with your style, you can simply change your style! If you're interested in becoming a Julep Maven, go HERE!!

Not only can you get polishes, but you can also receive other beauty products, which is another reason I highly recommend this site. I have never been disappointed with any of the things they've sent me! Another perk of being a Julep Maven member is when you want to purchase anything from their site, you will get it for a discounted price! For instance, many of their polishes are $14, if you are a Maven, you get it for $11, and sometimes less! They also have a lot of promotions, which is another thing I really like.

If you don't want to become a member, you can still purchase anything on their site, but you won't get any of the discounts.

I also want to mention that their packaging for their polishes is so adorable! I love how sleek they are. They are rectangular and just so easy to hold without it slipping out of your hands. I really don't have any bad things to say about these polishes! I love them! I am thinking of doing a swatch video, and maybe even some photos! Let me know if that is something you would be interested in!

St. Patrick's Day Makeup Tutorial

Hi guys! I posted a photo on Instagram (@makeupbyliberty) of a look I created for St. Patrick's Day, and a lot of you were wanting a tutorial. I just posted a video for it! Just in case you don't want to watch the whole thing, here are the details for this look! And if you're new to my channel, or just haven't seen the video yet, here it is!

I used two palettes to create this look, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette, and the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

  • Prime all over eye area
  • Apply Sienna (Lavish) to crease & blend upward into the brow bone for a soft, diffused look
  • Apply NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk all over lid
  • With a flat shader brush, apply Half Baked (Naked) to lid
  • With a crease or pencil brush, apply Black Diamond (Lavish) to outer crease and blend
  • Highlight brow bone & tear duct with Virgin (Naked)
  • Tight line upper water line w/ black liner pencil
  • Apply any green liner to bottom lash line and water line
  • Apply Moss (Lavish) on top of green eye liner, even water line!
  • Apply liner to desired look & mascara to lashes
  • Apply lashes if desired (I used Ardell Wispies)
I really hope you guys enjoyed watching the video for this look, and if you want to see more tutorials, be sure to follow me on YouTube, as well as Instagam!

Lots of love!
