Foundation: DRY SKIN

Image
Who else suffers from dry skin? I've had dry skin my whole life (although my skin has been getting oily lately, I figured this would be a great post for anyone who has ever asked me what foundation I use for dry skin). I used to get random dry patches on my face here and there, and wearing any makeup would accentuate it, no matter how much I would moisturize. It took me awhile to find my absolute favorite foundation. I wouldn't say it is super expensive, but it's definitely not one of the most affordable. Compared to Armani Silk foundation, though, (which I've heard is amazing and will need to try out soon) it is a little more affordable (just a little, ha ha!).  What is this amazing, lightweight, luminous foundation I'm speaking of? It is the NARS Sheer Glow foundation! By now I am sure it is a very well known product, especially for every other beauty guru out there. But I also know there are lots of people who don't know much about many beauty products and

My Go To 5 Minute Makeup

Image
Hi guys! I want to share with you a few of my favorite makeup products that I use when I'm in a hurry and just need to bring my face to life really quick before heading out the door. This is especially handy for moms who don't really have the time to get all fancy for the day but still want to look fresh and awake!  These products are all by the fabulous Stila Cosmetics. First, I am going to show you an example of my makeup that I did within 5 minutes using these three gems. This is the quick look I throw together when I am in a hurry, or am just too lazy to do my makeup! I still do my foundation (sometimes), my brows, highlighting and contouring, things like that, but those things don't take me very long to do at all!  Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner I usually don't like liquid eye liners at all, in fact, I absolutely despise them! They are usually so difficult to work with, and so hard to control that it just seems more practical to use a gel

Simple Holiday Look

Image
I know I'm popping in from pretty much nowhere! I've had an eventful last year, but I am back! And I plan on posting my makeup looks and sharing them with you on here, as well as the steps I took to achieve them. I do plan on getting back on YouTube and making tutorials, but I'm working on a setup for filming in my new apartment, as well as lighting. For now, I will just be posting beauty related things on here, and my MUA Instagram account @makeupbyliberty. Be sure to follow me on there also! Anyway, I created this look for the holidays. I know a lot of people don't like to do makeup that is "too dramatic", so I put together this fun look. (Everybody loves glitter, right?!) It is super simple, yet very festive, and just a pop of gold glitter really gives you that Christmas-y or NYE look! The Look : (click photos to enlarge) The Steps:  Prime the eyelids (I used Urban Decay's Primer Potion, it is my all time fav eye primer)

Certified MUA

Hi friends! Wow, it has been so long since I have posted anything. I just wanted to update you all on my life a bit (and why I've been so M.I.A)! I have been going to school for makeup, and I just finished!! I got 100% on my last assignment, which was an assignment where I got to choose my last look, and I chose to do a mermaid look. I will attach a photo (click to enlarge). Anyway, I just ordered my certificate and I should be getting it in the mail soon! So now I am officially a certified makeup artist! Well, I suppose it will be official when I get my certificate!  For those of you who don't know, and for those of you who have asked, I attended school online at RPM Makeup Academy. They are located in Las Vegas but they also have online courses. I would have chosen to go to school physically, but I had no choice, due to the fact that I live in an area where there are no schools for cosmetology. The courses at RPM are actually very detailed and easy to follow, and they are t

Hi beauties! I wanted to share with you some swatches of lipsticks from NYX! These are the NYX Round Case lipsticks, and there are SO MANY different shades! I only have 10, but I figure I might as well swatch them for you guys, it's better than nothing, right?  I have been obsessed with lipsticks lately, or any lip products for that matter, and when I decided to purchase some lipsticks online, I decided to go with NYX, they are very pigmented and very affordable. Of course I did some research on this product before purchasing, as I always do. The reviews I've watched and read online were so helpful, I've heard others say that the swatches on the website were not accurate, and that they looked totally different in real life! SO true.  Maybe this will help you a bit with deciding (if you want to purchase any lipsticks from this line). The shades I have are Circe, Pure Nude, Strawberry Milk, Indian Pink, Haute Melon, Femme, Miracle, Hero, Snow White, and Hestia.  I have

My Foundation Routine (For Dry Skin!)

Image
Hi guys!! It's been a long time since I've posted anything on here last. I don't have as many followers on here as I do on my pregnancy blog, but I'm hoping to get there soon! Quite a few people have asked me to post about my foundation routine, so I finally got around to it! I have extremely dry skin, especially in these cold, winter months. But I can somewhat get rid of the dryness and make my skin appear more dewy and fresh! If you're interested in how I achieve this look, then watch the video below!!  P.S. I will go into greater depth on this blog a little later. :) I've also gotten tons of requests about my eyebrows! So I will be posting an updated eyebrow tutorial very soon. I've got some other videos I need to post first, but I promise you I will get around to it! Thanks so much to everyone who follows me! I love you guys.
